Locality of the province of Cadiz, located in the Route of the White Villages, closely together of the limit with the province of Malaga.

Its main productive activity is centered in cereals, vineyards and olive groves. It has harineras and oil mills, cattle ranch and cold meats, especially "pata negra" cured ham. The most outstanding of its handicrafts is that of the products made with esparto.

Remarkable monuments are the Church of Santa Maria of the Valley, of baroque style, the convent of Holy Sewers, to 6 km, the hermitage of the Gentleman of the Mercy, the Set of dolmens located in the Dhesa del Tomillo, to 5 km of the locality, Roman city of Fuente Grande.
