At the old road from Ronda to Algeciras, La Linea and Gibraltar there is a formerly arab fortress over the hill called "El castillo" (the castle). There is also a tower, called of the Holy Cross and coming also from the arab age. On its ground there can be seen lots of archaeological rests coming from the prehistoric, roman and arab ages.

It celebrates Fair in honour of it Patron Saint St. Roque in August, 16th, and the celebration of arabs and christians the Easter Sunday. The "Grape juice" Fair takes place the last saturday of november.

It produces chestnuts trees, walnut trees and fig trees. Cattle raising, sparto grass, ropes and nursery.
